The American Animal Hospital Association has a handy dandy microchip look up on their website here in the event that you ever need to find a pet owner! For example, if you find a dog or cat roaming on their own and have scanned them with a microchip reader, you can input their microchip number in this form to find the owner's information! 🙂 Note: The form does not provide the owner's info directly but rather the manufacturer of the microchip and thus who to contact to report the pet has been found. In doing so, if the owner is looking for their lost pet, the company will be able to alert them you have found them!
The Texas Humane Legislation Network is a group here in Texas that works hard to collectively share information regarding animal cruelty laws and information amongst the state. They make it easy to sign up for Action Alerts in order to communicate with your representative and fight for animal welfare! They are the definitive organization for up to date information about what's going on with animals in the state!
